garden report #3

the beans are sprouting! they are SO cool to watch.

basil has sprouted & the second row of radishes are sprouting too!

it's past time to harvest the first batch of radishes. they haven't gotten very big so we left them in an extra week or so.

the greens are getting bigger & bigger, last week we thinned them and put the micro greens (wow, sounds fancy!) into a salad. i think it's time to do that again.

flowers are budding & growing & some are even blooming!

the snow in summer, blue star & white star creeper, yellow, purple and white & blue lavender are all blooming.

the coreopsis, borage, lupine, coral bells & peony are all budded up.

the delphinium looks sadder & sadder every day.

there are some shiso sprouts up! the epazote is not meant to be... that space is about to become a home for some lemon verbena!

the flower beds in the back are still a mystery. i don't know what's weeds & what's flowers.

the chimney containers in the front are growing & growing. i am so impatient to see what the love in a mist, strawflowers & the hare's tale grass are going to do. i also don't know if the nicotania are going to sprout, that is another mystery bed of is it a weed's??

busy days and nights & weekends have conspired to keep me from doing much new in the garden, that's probably a good thing. not sure what project to tackle next:

dig in the glass bottle border
dig in the architectural tiles to create another bed along the fence
work on the tile pathway
turn the soil under the lilac tree and plant the euphorbia under it
bug jak to make the table for the deck before his folks arrive in 2 weeks!
