garden update - the front part 1

bee balm - doing well, when i first planted it someone (birds? squirrels?) kept nipping at it, which has caused it to grow bushy instead of tall, which is fine, it seems healthy & i don't know if it is going to flower his year or not. this is what it will look like when it does!

rock cress - also doing well, lots of new growth. it did flower when i first planted it long skinny stalks with white flowers. i love the variegated colors on this guy, i hope it spreads!

berry bushes - growing slow. these guys are a long term investment,. they seem to be doing well. i whisper things about juicy berries and pancakes to them.

sedums & succulents aplenty - they are EVRYWHERE & doing their crazy sedum thing. alsmost all of them have been flowering one way or another, this is something i had never seen before & it is so cool! yelow, white & pink flowers. CRAZINESS. i heart sedums!

hares tail grass - i love the hares tale grass, i think if i had thinned the seedlings more maybe they would have gotten bigger, but all in all they were a success! i hope they come back next year! i will have to do some research and figure out how i can make sure that happens.

rue - i love the rue! i want some MORE! it has been getting big and happy and it just started blooming. it has the coolest leaves, and an incredible smell.

stay tuned for part 2 featuring: MONKEYFLOWER!! & pussytoes!

YAYAYAY!! Berries and pancakes lol

Dan wants you to know that "a lot of new apartment blocks that I worked on have a sedum turfed roof ... because it's extra insulation, and it's extra oxygen production (green green green)".
