right now the tulip festival is happening and i don't think i am going to be able to go. but i ache to go! i want to go and buy some bulbs (for next spring) of the best & the brightest. :(
when i started gardening oh so many years ago (hardly even 2) i didn't think i was going to be a flower gardener. i wanted low maintenance, low water, native, leave 'em alone & let 'em grow kinds of plants... but i have been bit by the gardening bug BAD. i still want to try to keep things native whenever possible & low maintenance, but i am also excited about growing some of my favorite flowers to enjoy. who knew?
rhododendrons are in full bloom right now too. rhododendrons are our state flower here in washington, and i imagine that someday i might need to plant one. i am itching to go to kubota garden and see all their rhododendrons, and maybe do some research on whatever future rhody i might want to plant.

I wish I had my own place to catch the bug too
