so starting in february/march or so we have been working our butts off.
it is thrilling that it is only april and we have tons of more time to play.
we have gotten a TON done so far:
- chopped down a cherry tree (& processed all the twigs & such for garden use)
- dug up some of the yard around the tree to get ready for the berry bushes (2 huckleberry, 1 blueberry)
- planted the maple tree
- put plastic down in front of the fence to kill the grass
- dug in all the the terra cotta tubes to be planters
- created small beds along the fence in the back & filled in the path with wood chips
- dug in the architectural tiles & created a bed along the fence in the front
- put down cardboard, burlap & then drain rock in a big triangle of the yard
