it is slowly sinking in that we aren't going "back". we sold our house. we are moving to seattle. i think i might be freaking out a little.
we had an amazing breakfast, fresh squeezed orange juice and quite possibly the best pancakes i have ever had. we stopped by a very cool camera shop which is basically a graveyard for outdated technology, they had some nice cameras and jak bought a pair of binoculars, we walked and had a cup of coffee and then swung by the crunchy granola grocery store so we could buy a picnic lunch of: radishes, carrots, goat cheese, crackers, potato chips, apricots, avocado and banana.
we got back on the freeway and headed for lewis and clark's cavern state park. we arrived a half an hour before the next scheduled tour, so we had time to enjoy our delicious NOT beef oriented lunch out in the sunshine with the beautiful view. the caverns were cool, but we had to listen to the freshman tour guide tell all the canned worn out jokes, and anthropomorphizing the rocks. it was a little sad because the caverns were obviously abused for years, but all in all a pretty cool thing to see.
our next stop was helena where we crashed on the couch of our cousin eve. we took the scenic route that ran along the lake, and it was very pretty. we went out for a drink at the local watering hole and then eve took us out for a lovely steak dinner.
a pretty relaxing and nice day compared to the past 6 days
tomorrow we stop in missoula for lunch and then continue on to spokane.
