wrap up
making stuff
i find my hands still want to make stuff, even though all my projects are finished. i have really really enjoyed making stuff, and i want to make more stuff. now that i don't have a deadline, or any recipients in mind, i need to figure out what the next project(s) will be. i was recently inspired by the detailed craftsmanship over at bella dia she has lots of sweet little felty things in her shop. i like working with felt, and i plan to do some more projects with it. it would be nice to find a local source for felt, so far i have had to order the stuff online. i also want to try my hand at felting wool from old sweaters, but i'm not sure that that will produce the finished quality that i'm looking for.
i posted some pics up on flickr of pre-holiday production around here (**spoiler warning** mary, if you like surprises, don't look until after your package arrives) i still have a few more pics i need to take before everything gets lovingly hand delivered to seawa.
i am signing off for the remainder of the year, i will return with pictures of, and stories about our adventures in the beautiful pacific northwest.
happy wintery whistle day everyone, tonight we will be celebrating with our first annual whistle day soup tradition (this year it's minestrone).

All that matters is that you enjoy what you are doing NOW. :)
