post turkey post


















it was a long food filled day
all of my dessert making trauma and stress was for naught
what i made turned out delicious, and there was plenty left over
we didn't need the 2 last minute emergency
pumpkin pies from whole foods

the fig walnut tart was especially a hit
it was the first time i have ever made it
and i will have to make it again
because now we have a whole bottle of brandy
that needs to be used for something

Are you implying that a bottle of brandy would be difficult to dispose of without a tart recipe? I'm confused.

Anyhow, it looks great. Wish I could taste! Where did you get the recipe?

my favorite all about baking cookbook: baking illustrated
i like walnuts
i also like figs

i suppose we will probably manage to choke down than brandy one way or another
