disghustingly cute

we went to a halloween party saturday night
we didn't have much time to plan/make costumes
but we recently bought these cute cat and owl masks
for the handing out of the candy tomorrow night
and it occurred to me that there is a story? poem? nursery rhyme?
called the owl and the pussycat

the owl and the pussy-cat went to sea
in a beautiful pea-green boat:
they took some honey, and plenty of money
wrapped up in a five-pound note.

pussy said to the owl, you elegant fowl,

so i made a pea green origami boat
with a little sample package of honey
and some funny money, and our costumes were complete
i even printed out copies of the owl and the pussycat
for people who had no idea what we were talking about
